YOUTH WORKERS – RESIDENTIAL CARE

St Saviours is an organisation committed to professional service and delivering therapeutic care to see positive outcomes and achieve better results for the young people in our care. We are seeking professional individuals who are interested in joining our team as a “Casual Youth Worker” with the opportunity of Permanent Part-time positions.

Primary Responsibility:
To work with our Residential Care Teams supporting vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma and abuse through 24 hour support programs.  As part of the Residential Care Team you will be required to work with the young people to help build strength and to grow their resilience.
This role desires the successful applicants, to work closely with Residential Care Teams planning and facilitating options based on the individual “young person’s” needs, through education, recreational activities, case planning and individual life skills.  You will be able to support our young people with guidance including case management and advocacy as well as liaising with internal and external service providers.

Key Selection Criteria
·         Tertiary qualifications in social work, community services or youth work minimum qualification Cert III.
·         Minimum 2 years experience in successful coaching and mentoring young people in a Residential Care Service.
·         A sound knowledge of the stages of child and adolescent development along with interpersonal skills relating to behaviours exhibited in the context of past trauma and abuse.
·         Proven ability to respond to youth issues, knowledge and understanding of case management principles and experience in case work provision.
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating confidence in engaging young people with complex needs from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
·         Ability to work in both a team environment and work independently.
·         A current full valid driver's license.
·         Must hold a current Working with Children’s clearance through the Office of the children’s Guardian and undergo Criminal History Background check.
·         Must hold Valid First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.

CASE MANAGER Out of Home Care, Orange, NSW – Full Time
 
 
We are looking for a competent, professional individual to join our expanding team in Orange.  As a Case Manager, you will develop and implement case plans for children and young people in Out of Home Care.  You will work with families, foster carers, youth workers and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people in care.
 
The successful applicant will have experience working with children with high support needs, demonstrated competencies in assessment and case management and excellent report writing skills.
 
Tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in a human services setting will also be essential.  The salary range for this position is $55,920 - $62,066 and is dependent on experience.  Generous salary sacrifice options are available under Anglicare's PBI status.

CASE MANAGER - OOHC

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, flexible and creative person to join our Out of Home Care team in Moruya in a permanent fulltime or permanent part-time role.
 
As the Case Manager, your role will involve supporting and caring for young people in the Eurobodalla area through a range of placement options including foster care, residential care, transition to independent living and aftercare in our OOHC service.
 
The successful applicant will have demonstrated competencies in assessment and case management and the ability to work positively with young people, their carers and their families.

LIVE IN WARDEN/CARETAKER

Brindabella Court Retirement Village is based in Downer, ACT with 26 independent living retirement units.
 
Applications are invited from appropriately experienced and qualified candidates who will be able to ensure a high standard of maintenance, cleanliness and safety for both our retirement villages in Canberra (Brindabella Court at Downer, and St David’s Close at Red Hill).  Essential experience and qualifications for this role include:
 
·         Demonstrated experience in undertaking a wide range of general maintenance duties
·         Demonstrated ability to relate to, and work with, seniors
·         Current first aid certificate, or willingness to complete first aid training as a priority
·         Current valid driver’s licence (Light Rigid), or willingness to obtain this licence as a priority
