Homelessness Youth Assistance Program (HYAP) Facilitator, Wagga Wagga, Full-time, Fixed Term
 
 
The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.
 
ANGLICARE Riverina NSW provides a range of services for children, young people and families throughout the Riverina and Murrumbidgee areas.  We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic and motivated person to deliver the Homelessness Youth Assistance Program (HYAP) within our Youth Services team.
 
The HYAP achieves its aims by managing a brokerage program to assist young people aged 12 to 15 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, providing information, advocacy and liaising with Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) and other community services providers, to support young people to:
Remain or return home if safe and appropriate
Re connect with family and/or Community
If unable to return home then assist the young person to find suitable and secure accommodation
 
Tertiary qualifications in Welfare, Community Services, or Youth work are essential.
 
The salary for this position is $59,359 per annum, plus 9.5% employer superannuation guarantee.  Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare’s PBI status.  Anglicare also offers other benefits including additional personal leave and paid parental leave.
 
Applicants will be required to undertake the psychometric profiling instrument – SafeSelectTM.    Applicants must obtain a Working With Children clearance through the Office of the Children’s Guardian (NSW) and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment.
