Supported Playgroup Assistant
Indigenous Specific Role
Temporary Part-Time (10 hrs per week)
 
We are looking for a person to assist our Children and Parent Support program in Orange, providing support to children mainly aged 0-3 and their parents.  This is to assist with a Supported Playgroup meeting twice a week, likely to be on Tuesdays and Fridays.
 
The successful applicant will have a variety of life skills including good communication.  You will also demonstrate knowledge of and an interest in child development and a caring approach to strengthening the relationship between parents and children.  The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and a clean driving licence are also required.
 
We provide an initial induction as well as ongoing training to assist you to develop your skills and understanding of this significant work.  Applicants must obtain a Working with Children clearance through the Office of Children’s Guardian (NSW) and undergo a National Criminal History check prior to an offer of employment.
 
Prior to appointment the successful applicant will be required to undertake the psychometric profiling instrument – Safe Select TM.

St Mark’s National Theological Centre

Finance Manager


An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Manager at St Mark's National Theological Centre. St Mark's is part of the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn.

St Mark's delivers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees (in theology, ministry, pastoral counselling and aged pastoral care) in the higher education provision (HEP) sector through its partnership with Charles Sturt University (CSU). Vocational and Educational Training (VET) sector awards (in counselling, professional supervision and formation for Anglican ministry) are also delivered via St Mark's own Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

The Centre seeks an experienced manager to oversee all financial operations, and to assist in business development. The appointee to this full-time position will work closely with St Mark’s Director to take carriage of accounting and compliance responsibilities in three broad areas: St Mark's general accounting; CSU liaison and School of Theology financial administration; and RTO financial and other reporting to government. They will manage a small accounts team at St Mark’s.

St Mark's is a not-for-profit entity, comprising a small community of faculty and general staff who seek to constructively engage Australians with God. The successful applicant will be a faithful Christian, and will demonstrate evidence of commitment to the vision, ethos and aims of St Mark's.

Selection Criteria
The appointee should possess the following:

  •  relevant qualifications in accounting and business management;
  • experience in preparation of monthly profit and loss statements, quarterly account reports and annual financial reports;
  • ability to oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and statutory reporting requirements;
  • current membership of a professional body (e.g. CPA or CA); 
  • capacity for analysis and direction of strategic business growth; and
  • advanced communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment and to manage a multiplicity of tasks.

The following will be an advantage:

  •  familiarity with VET FEE-HELP compliance and RTO operations;
  • experience in trust accounting; and
  • availability for immediate commencement.

Salary range: $70,000 to $75,000 depending on skills and experience, plus 9.5% government superannuation guarantee. 
Full-time position with flexible working hours by negotiation.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Full Time - 76 hours per fortnight
 
Wollondilly Gardens Retirement Village is based at Goulburn with 69 independent living retirement villas set on approximately 18 acres, it also offers a community centre and heated indoor swimming pool and spa to residents.
 
Applications are invited from appropriately experienced and qualified candidates who will be able to ensure a high standard of maintenance, cleanliness and safety for our village.  Essential experience and qualifications for this role include:
 
·         Demonstrated experience in undertaking a wide range of building and grounds maintenance duties, including swimming pool and spa repairs and maintenance
·         Demonstrated ability to relate to, and work with, seniors
·         Current first aid certificate, or willingness to complete first aid training as a priority
·         Current valid driver’s licence
·         Current Safe Storing and Handling of Chemicals qualifications
