About Us
We are a multicultural mixed age congregation, committed to supporting each other in our Christian journey and sharing our faith with the wider community.
"We at Holy Cross are a community of faith that seeks to be inclusive, celebratory and caring. We have identified as priorities for our immediate future that we want to grow as a congregation, with life-giving services and reaching out to the communities of Hackett, Watson Downer and Dickson among whom we live; that we want to grow in spiritual depth and love; and that we want to develop the co-operating relationship we enjoy with St Margaret's.
Come and join us for worship. Everyone is very welcome."
Our Rector is the Reverend Dr Erica Mathieson who began her ministry at Holy Cross in August 2008. Erica has come to Hackett after ministries at St James' King St Sydney, St Margaret's Eltham Victoria and a number of parishes in the Diocese of Bathurst where she acted as locum while studying.
She has a strong ecumenical committment and sees in the co-operating relationship between Holy Cross and St Margaret's Uniting Church, possibilities for realising that unity that is Christ's vision for all Christian people.
