For those of you who have read the article in the August edition of Anglican News “New Chair of Environment Commission appointed “ you will be aware the article has been in part incorrectly reported and the outcome to this may be of a concern to certain Parishes and other Ministry Units.
The article was incorrectly reported in the sense that the caption and photograph which referred to the Diocese receiving the ARRCC Eco Awards for excellence in taking action and encouraging others was an example of the recognition being earned by the Commission for its achievements so far. It was also reported that the wording of the caption was that of the incoming chairperson Greg Rippon. This was also incorrect as Greg made no such statement.
The caption should have read “The award was an example of the recognition being earned by the Parishes and others Ministry Units for their achievement so far”.
