College Chaplain for Kormilda College, Darwin (NT)

Kormilda College currently has a vacancy for a College Chaplain. The position involves developing the spiritual life and Christian ethos of the college and contributing to their religious and values education program.

Appointment to this position will be as a licenced member of the clergy of the Anglican Diocese of Northern Territory. Applicant must have a demonstrated interest and experience working with teenagers.

Part Time Youth Worker for St Paul's Ginninderra (up to 8 hours/wk)

St Paul’s is seeking a part time paid Youth Worker to plan, coordinate and work to develop Youth Ministry in the Parish.  St Pauls has a small youth group with about 12 regulars and the current youth leader is expecting her first child in December.

Tenure: A one year contract with a suitability review after three months.

Hours: Up to 8 hours per week during school terms, which may include one evening.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and leadership of regular activities for Parish youth which will encourage fellowship and help them develop their Christian faith and leadership. 
• Coordinate/ assist Youth to lead one family service (Youth led service) each Semester and host one HUB per year.
• Encourage and support Parish youth to attend Diocesan Youth activities. 
• Ensure Diocesan Guidelines, Child Protection measures and other requirements are complied with.

Selection requirements:

• The desired candidate will be a committed Christian with a heart for Youth Ministry and a sense of the leading of the Holy Spirit.
• Will have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold a current drivers licence.
• Formal training in Youth Ministry is desirable but not essential.
