Behind the News: Palestinian Christians and Theology

St Saviour’s is hosting a short workshop on some insights into Palestinian Theology. The one-hour session will be led by Helen Rainger. Helen and Fred Rainger will have just been to a conference on this theology in Bethlehem. We will gather in the Mary Thomas Room, the smaller hall, at 5.30pm on Friday 31st March. There is an open invitation to dinner at the Goulburn Workers’ Club afterwards. All welcome.

Watchmen School of Intercession

Friday 30 June  7pm – 9:30pm and Saturday 1st July 9.00am - 4.00pm

Venue:  Anglican Church hall, Cnr Loftus and DeBoos St, TEMORA. NSW 2666

Entry will be via the side doors, through the car park.

The teaching will be done by Brian Pickering, National Coordinator of the Australian Prayer Network. 

The course is being made available to Churches, other Christian ministries and established prayer groups/networks across Australia for the purpose of training up Christians in how to pray for our Nation and the Nations of the world as well as for the Church in Australia and beyond. Over 4,000 people in cities and communities around the nation have attended these Schools in the past 2 years. 

The School begins with this Foundation Level Course of six sessions. This course is suitable for both experienced prayers and/or those wanting to simply know more about the discipline of prayer and how it relates beyond our personal relationship with God, as a tool that God uses to change the world around us. Those wanting to explore prayer and intercession further will be offered Intermediate and Advanced level courses at later dates. People wanting to go to Intermediate and Advanced level must first attend all six sessions of a Foundation Level Course irrespective of previous experience. 

The Australian Prayer Network is one of the largest prayer networks in Australia. It is linked internationally to prayer networks across the world and has a reach to tens of thousands of praying people representing Churches of all Christian denominations.  

The program schedule is: 

Friday 30 June  7pm -  9.30pm  Session 1 - How prayer works. Session 2 - Intercession - a lifestyle that changes your world.

Saturday 1 July 9am - 4.00pm Session 3 - Understanding the spiritual DNA of your community Session. 4 - Spiritual Authority, the key to spiritual breakthrough. Session 5 - Principals of small group leadership and participation. Session 6 - How to hear God’s voice. 

Cost: FREE, however a love offering will be received to bless the work of the Australian Prayer Network.

Lunch: Please bring your own lunch on the Saturday or purchase from nearby shops. Tea and coffee will be provided

  • School Chaplain - Canberrra Girls Grammar School

    Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) is currently seeking applications for the position of School Chaplain. This is a full-time, ongoing position to commence as soon as possible. The Chaplain is responsible to the Principal for the development of the spiritual and pastoral life of the School.

    CGGS is an independent Anglican school founded in 1926, with a current enrolment of approximately 1600 students across an Early Learning Centre (ELC), Junior School and a Senior School.

    The successful applicant will be an ordained Anglican priest and have experience teaching in a school.
