  • THERAPEUTIC SERVICES MANAGER Fixed Term – 12 Months

    Are you passionate about Out of Home Care (OOHC), therapeutic care models and providing the best outcomes for children and young people and their families?

    The Therapeutic Services Manager is an exciting new position within Anglicare which will provide expert leadership in the provision of high quality therapeutic services for children, young people, their families and carers, within Anglicare’s OOHC programs across NSW.

    Anglicare is a major community services provider across many locations in regional NSW as well as in the ACT, so this position will be based in Holt in the ACT but require regular travel to our NSW service locations.

    Salary package:
    Salary $100K+ negotiable, (total package also includes car and PBI benefits)

    Full-time – 76 hours per fortnight, initially for 12 months. Based at the ACT Holt office with regular travel to our regional offices in NSW.

  • Youth Workers – Residential Care - Sydney Casual positions

    St Saviours is an organization committed to professional service and delivering therapeutic care to see positive outcomes and achieve better results for the young people in our care. We are seeking professional individuals who are interested in joining our team as a “Casual Youth Worker” with the opportunity of Permanent Part-time positions.

    Primary Responsibility:
    To work with our Residential Care Teams supporting vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma and abuse through 24hour support programs. As part of the Residential Care Team you will be required to work with the young people to help build strength and to grow their resilience.
    This role desires the successful applicants, to work closely with Residential Care Teams planning and facilitating options based on the individual “young person’s” needs, through education, recreational activities, case planning and individual life skills. You will be able to support our young people with guidance including case management and advocacy as well as liaising with internal and external service providers.
    Key Selection Criteria
    · Tertiary qualifications in social work, community services or youth work minimum qualification Cert 3.
    · Minimum 2 years experience in successful coaching and mentoring young people in a Residential Care Service.
    · A sound knowledge of the stages of child and adolescent development along with interpersonal skills relating to behaviours exhibited in the context of past trauma and abuse.
    · Proven ability to respond to youth issues, knowledge and understanding of case management principles and experience in case work provision.
    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating confidence in engaging young people with complex needs from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
    · Ability to work in both a team environment and work independently.
    · A current full driver's license.
    · Must hold current Working with Children’s Check and undergo Criminal History Background check prior to appointment.
    · Must hold Valid First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain.

    The Wanggaay Koori Out-of-Home Care Service is a partnership between Anglicare and Riverina Medical and Dental (RIVMED). This service provides culturally appropriate Out-of-Home Care case management to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their carers.

    We are looking for a competent, professional individual to join our expanding team. As a Case Manager, you will develop and implement case plans for children and young people in Out-of-Home Care. You will work with families, foster carers and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for kids in care.

    The successful applicant will have experience working with kids with high support needs, demonstrated competencies in assessment and case management and excellent report writing skills. Tertiary qualifications and or relevant experience in a human services setting will also be essential
